I Thought About You Tonight

I thought of you tonight and... Remembered
Closing my eyes, my vision never dimming.
You standing there...
I could see you. Your eyes, so dark,
Your skin so soft,
Your hair...the finest silk
You are the very picture of beauty.
You looked at me...
My faults, could not be hidden.
Yet, your eyes began to shine
With the light of the stars.
You smiled. At me! For me!
You loved me, your outstretched arms
Allowed me to love you.
Your touch, light as a feather,
Hovering, unsure.
But made passion bloom,
Like flowers after a rain, Exploding into life.
Your passion that changed my life forever.
If there never were another night like that
I should surely die a happy, happy man.
I thought of You tonight and...
Remembered!

Sweet Dreams
 
I cast my eyes on the blanket of stars,
As I walk along the beach.
I think of your smile, your calming voice,
But like those stars, they're out of reach.

I wonder what it feels like,
To be held in your embrace.
To hear you whisper in my ear,
To caress your smiling face.

To feel your fingers' tender touch,
As you run them through my hair.
These are the thoughts that fill my nights,
And I ache 'cause you're not there.

For now, it's just a fantasy,
To play over in my head.
My thoughts begin their nightly dance,
As I lay awake in bed.

Just One Wish

One wish, just one wish is all I ask, A simple thing, not too great a task.
To wake beside you every day, The rising sun's light on your angelic face!
To feel you beckoning, as I caress your cheek, Taste your welcoming lips, with love so sweet.
Our arms around each other, will never be undone, Our hearts together, beating as one!
My heart is yours, my love is true, For me there is no other but you!

Waiting for Rain

Storm approaching suddenly, Run to the window, look and see.
Alluring glance from me to you, Without a word…you think it too.
Clothes in a trail across the floor, from window pane, to outside door.
Secluded place, a grassy field…In open view, (yet still concealed)
A blanket lay upon the ground, Where you and I And Rain Fall Down
Warm wet descends from summer skies, As birds and bees, cover their eyes.
Alas, the rain comes to an end, Return inside…to wait again.
